others writing is essentially a nightmare that they dread appearing. Writing can mean many things to many people. The following paper discusses what writing means, for this particular writer, and
thereby illustrates what it could mean for others. Writing The student requesting this paper makes mention of the film "Finding Forrester." In this film the older man, Forrester,
is a recluse and a famous writer. The younger man is a man from the ghetto who wants to be a writer. Both men, one young and one old, see
writing as the only way of really living their particular lives. Writing is an integral part of who they are, perhaps as important to their survival and identity as breathing
and eating. It is a part of who they are. Most people do not quite have this relationship with writing, evidenced in the fact that most people never publish
a novel and many people do not even keep journals. But, this does not mean that writing is not an integral part of peoples lives, or that it could not
be an important part of peoples lives. For this particular writer writing has always been sort of an easily understood form of expression. While some people may find writing
difficult or confusing, perhaps largely because of how writing is taught and how structuring sentences can become almost scientific, this writer has never really had difficulty writing, but always experienced
difficulty in the "scientific" aspects of writing. To label certain types of words, or structures, never made sense to this writer and as such was never part of the learning
process. However, while this writer can write, writing is not a passion. This writer keeps no journal, is not working on any novel or research work, and generally does
