Essay / Research Paper Abstract
An 8 page overview of the environment leading up to the United State’s entry into World War II. Contends that while indeed the U.S. was actually planning for war, it was the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor which solidified our decision to enter that war. Contends that the decision making process which was in place prior to that bombing was one of rational calculation but that with the bombing of Pearl Harbor this rationality was at least temporarily lost.
