scattered on the grounds. Before he shot himself, he called his mother to say goodbye and to tell her he loved all of them. He was still alive when police
arrived but then shot himself (MSNBC, 2010). Kristi Hannah had dated Thornton for about eight years. She was with him the night before and said she did not notice any
changes in his attitudes or behaviors (MSNBC, 2010). When we hear about a shooing at a college campus, we typically think that a student has gone on a shooting
spree. This time it was a professor. On February 12, 2010, a woman professor killed three people and wounded two more people people at the University of Alabamas Huntsville campus
(Winter, 2010). They were all faculty members. The shooting was at the Shelby Center engineering building which is a center for Science and Technology. Following a meeting where she was
denied tenure, the woman pulled out a gun and began shooting. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Biological Sciences where the perpetrator taught (Winter, 2010). The next
