Working more than one job is not particularly unusual; there have always been people who either needed the extra income, or wanted it for "luxuries." Today, as the economic crisis
worsens, prices climb and health care costs soar, having more than one job is sometimes absolutely necessary. But that doesnt mean its good for the people who are driving themselves
to exhaustion working day in and day out with little or no rest. The benefits of working multiple jobs are obvious: more money. But that is probably the only positive
attribute of the situation. Against that are set a great many negatives: health problems, stress, and deteriorating family relationships. In Michigan, which is part of the "Rust Belt," job loss
has been ongoing for decades as the auto industry struggles. Behavioral health therapist Roberta Babics says that she has seen "significantly more clients who are having problems from stress brought
on by working multiple jobs" (Youssef). She says that when people start trying to "juggle too many jobs," a crash is inevitable (Youssef). She cites several examples to back up
her claims, including Necie Williams who has a full time job but is trying to start her own business at the same time (Youssef). She gets home from her regular
day job at about 6 p.m. and then works on her own business until 1 a.m. or later (Youssef). Her horrendous schedule had serious consequences. "Her health had deteriorated
so badly her doctor told her to take two weeks off work last month" (Youssef). Williamss anemia was "out of control," she was becoming forgetful, and her relationship with her
