that supports the idea that employees are any organizations most valuable asset, there are still companies who do not treat them as such. Woodys Veneer Factory is one of those.
There is a rift and complete lack of trust between managers and employees. This has led to some startling behaviors on both sides. This essay explains the situation and provides
recommendations. Issues The team visited Woodys Veneer Factory several times. They observed violence, sabotage, bad management practices, bad work habits, deliberate acts to decrease the companys revenue, a total
lack of communication between management and labor, and a pronounced its us against them attitude on both sides. The violence between the managers must stop immediately with the threat of
dismissal. Both management and employees have low emotional intelligence. Employees are deliberately grinding up the good veneer which they know will significantly lower the companys revenues and profits. Management suspects
this is what is happening so they sneak up on the catwalk but employees use signals and text messages that alert employees stop it. Managers are abrasive and condescending
to employees. They communicate to employees primarily through a bulletin. All of this leads employees to feel helpless and powerless and they are fighting back in the only ways
