Introduction What follows is the answering of questions concerning ,me and a dialogue, I have undertaken with a woman that I initially did not know well.
It has been a process of risk taking, writing and laughter. Part One - Self definition A: Power: The United States is prone to say think one thing and say
another - maybe it is because of the freedom of the media, maybe it is because it is the easiest part of human nature; looking at ones self at telling
the truth is much more difficult. Because if you do participate in the naming of a situation, from my point of view, you then have an obligation to participate
in the next phase of the process, which may be re-evaluation, and consequent change. The power structure claims to be white male based, at the same time there are white
men who say they are not getting a fair deal now. Does this mean that at one time they did get a fair deal? If something is called
a "power structure," that would indicate that there is a mean or middle, as well as steps above as well as steps below, then have they always been on
that "ladder of success," or does that mean that they are not on the rung that they would like to be. Since they are the ones who have access
to the "ladder" it makes me wonder how strong, or knowledgeable, they really are. Women of all races are making an effort to scramble for the "ladder of success," or
some of them are making an effort to knock it down. It would seem that they are working against themselves. This makes them angry and distorts their judgment,
