overcome them GENDER DIFFERENCES ACCORDING TO SOCIETY The inequalities in gender tend to be reinforced by society due to societal norms and the roles they play in individual lives.
Gender is what creates social differences between men and women, how they are treated, and what this treatment means to each gender. The stratification in the genders occurs
when we see that society is told that men do the most valued work in society, have more political power and in general tend to have more power over economic
resources. Power in this case is central to gender. Gender order is definitely institutionalized in society. This is passed on through advertising as we see the
beer commercials with the husbands drinking beer in a bar while the wives dutifully stay home taking care of the children and the household chores. This is what leads
to polarization of the sexes because we are given, through media in most cases, labels as to what constitutes feminine and what constitutes masculine actions. Women are seen as
