that should be known, and learned, for a variety of reasons. The following paper examines articles and perspectives on this issue, illustrating how and why self defense is incredibly beneficial
for women. Women and Self Defense Whether people, especially women, like to admit it or not they are far more physically vulnerable in society than are men. This
is because men are generally far more physically aggressive than women and also far stronger. As noted, many may not like to admit this or may argue women are just
as capable as men in physical activities but the truth is that women are truly far more at risk to be physically harmed than men because they are weaker and
they may well be far more timid than men, many hoping that men would protect them in a physically aggressive situation. But, no woman has a man to protect them
at all given times and most women could benefit greatly from taking self defense courses for a variety of reasons. There is a great deal of research, and simply
common sense knowledge, which indicates women are brought up differently than men. They are taught to be more docile than men, to not put their opinions out there, to ask
for help from others, and to always give help to others. They are told to suppress aggressive tendencies for those are not feminine traits people expect or appreciate. This puts
women at risk. This is not to say that being nurturing, caring or selfless are bad traits for women, but it is to say that such traits do put women
