are being left behind. In addition to this there are also concerns in terms of the way that the technology is effecting the way people who use it in terms
of both health though the radio waves that are invariably used in wireless networks(Mellor, 2001), as well as the mental impact reducing human intellect, or even the physical changes that
may occur as a result of continued use of small keypads or similar. It addition to this there have also been security concerns regarding wireless networks (Goodwin, 2002, Zetter, 2001).
Despite this, there are many arguments that we can site for the success of wireless networks. However, to understand these we must first take a brief look at exactly what
we mean by a wireless network. The cost savings are also an issue which will be difficult to ignore. The costs an be as much as 40% lower (IBM Information
Brief, 2002) and as such offer the combination of cost savings and increased flexibility (IBM Information Brief, 2002). Wireless networks are those
which are not linked to each other physically with wires (). The main advantage of wireless network is the ability of mobility especially with the mobile phone network and the
associated cost savings that can be seen as a result of not being restricted to using the network in a single place (Anonymous, 2002).
