images. In the photographic world of Waliczky, it is not the outer limits of images that are manipulated to appear blurred and indistinct, but instead the traditional concepts of
time and space. Through the use of computerized digitization and modern technology, Waliczky has transformed the camera from an inanimate, spatially placed object into an interactive tool, which the
viewer can use to break the traditional boundaries of photography and add additional elements of memory and personalization (Manovich PG). Tamas Waliczky does not simply capture images of the
world around him, but instead virtually recreates this world to fit the image of his perceptions. Tamas Waliczky has been involved with computer design and animation since 1983, and prior
to that time he held various positions in the fields of animated cartoons and private drawing and painting (The Butterfly Effect http:// www.c3.hu/butterfly/Waliczky/cv.html). His currently displayed talent for innovative
digitized interactive photography began to surface in 1988 with the first of his computer animations, "Pictures" and "Is There Any Room For Me Here?" In 1992, Waliczky was asked
by the Zentrum fur Kunst und Medientechnologie, or ZKM, Institute for Visual Media to complete the computer animation for "The Garden", and has been permanently employed by the ZKM Institute
