claims really do not hold up. He rejects Christianity not because he favors Judaism or Islam or anything of that nature but he rejects the existence of God to begin
with. Of course, rejecting God is also a rejection of Christianity. Nietzsche creates a contradiction--which is a hole in his theory--in that he both holds that God never existed and
God is dead. This is a flaw in that by definition, God cannot die. Also, God cannot die and not ever have existed. Particularly in terms of the Christian perspective
where he sent his only begotten son to prove that there is life after death, one would be hard pressed to argue that God no longer exists. If he is
dead, what happened? By definition, God is immortal. Nietzsche condemns Christianity and suggests it is corrupt. While one could agree with him there, he essentially criticizes the church or
one or more sects of Christianity which have evolved, but not Christianity ideologically. Even today, there are many Christians who reject the organized church due to the corruption and many
scandals that it has been responsible for. Certainly, if Christians would just meet to discuss Christs wonderment, and not create rules deemed by those in a particular sect of Christianity,
there would be more purity in the Christian religions. Yet, this is not the case and so it is open to corruption. This is something that Nietzsche recognized early, and
while he may have condemned churches for particular attributes, he really made little argument to reject Christianity, other than the lack of a God. Of course, that is a big
