very angry and take over. There would be coups de etat. Of course, much of Marxs predictions never materialized. Yes, there have been many coups de etat and there are
also many countries that have embraced communism, but the latter was never manifested according to Marxs plan. Rather, nations would employ dictatorial leadership and the goods were never distributed fairly.
The communism that would come about in the twentieth century was not what Marx envisioned. Further in many countries, communism failed because there was not enough of a monetary base
for it to succeed. Indeed, when examining Marxs concept of historical materialism, it is easy to see that some overzealous leaders would skip the necessary elements needed to create a
stable communist society. They ignored the necessity for using the capitalist tool, at least for awhile. In the end, countries like Russia would end up with serious financial problems. Marx
also made very strong, specific predictions about the future and he used a model of historical materialism to make his predictions. Marxs view of history has often been aligned with
historical materialism or the notion that history will unfold in a particular way. Yet, it also appears to involve other aspects of Marxism such as the labor theory of value
and economic determinism. Economic determinism, above all, embraces the concept that economic factors are integral to political and historical developments. Marxism rests on the notion that everything is intertwined with
money and that even when motivation or habit appear to be separate and apart from economic variables, underneath it all lies the money angle. The nature of man is generally
