to create children in an artificial womb, is in the air. These are issues of science fiction, but as time goes on they become science fact, a situation that has
turned the legal world on its head as cases have been appearing in respect to surrogate mothering as well as problems that crop up in respect to stored eggs. Gay
families often confront legal consequences because same-sex partners cannot conceive a child. With all of these changes, ethical problems surface. In more recent days, the future became the present when
Dolly was created. Cloning seems to be an important step in terms of reproductive medicine. Many people argue that progress should be made and hindering it is like tying the
hands of Columbus or Einstein. Mistakes are made at the start of any new venture and that is simply something that must be tolerated. Prohibiting human cloning is equivalent to
truncating the progress of science. Now that a sheep has been reproduced, will medical doctors try to replicate human beings? Although a sheep had been cloned, it does not necessarily
follow that human beings will too. Pigs and mice are relatively easy to clone but rats are a bit harder (Delude, 2004). Monkeys are perhaps the toughest and human
beings are not easy to clone either (2004). This difference is important. What occurs is that many people believe that if animals can be cloned, humans are next. Yet, it
is easier said than done. Because humans are more difficult to clone than some other animals, it stands to reason that caution should prevail. Science may not be advanced enough
to even consider attempting such a thing that could end up with a Frankenstein as an end product. While more innocent things such as test tube babies and other methodology
