Essay / Research Paper Abstract
This 10 page paper takes a hard look at abortion and supports a strong pro-life stance. While both sides of the issue are discussed, the paper quickly dismisses pro-choice support. A great deal of evidence is provided to support the assumption that the fetus suffers during the procedure and that abortions also endanger the mental and physical health of the mother. Bibliography lists 10 sources.

case, the court rendered the states as not having the authority to prevent anyone from seeking an abortion, at least during the first two trimesters of pregnancy ("The Abortion,"
2004). It did not allow for abortions at the end of pregnancy, but the exception was that if the mothers health or life is endangered, a woman could seek an
abortion anyway (2004). This has effectively led to "abortion on demand" at any time during a pregnancy (2004). Abortions are political. Women feel that they should have the right
to do what they like with their own bodies. Some women even feel that they have a right to do what they will with their own children. After all, women
do make decisions for their young. But sometimes the state must step in when a mother is abusing a child or not acting in the childs best interests. Women make
selfish choices. They leave young children in cars when they cannot get baby-sitters so that they will not miss a day of work. They go on dates and leave children
home alone just for a little while. They rationalize everything, but in the end, any decision made in the mothers best interest is a decision that is not necessarily good
for the child. Children must come first as they never asked to be created or born. They are further incapable of making their own decisions so parents must make them
until they reach an age where the children can decide things for themselves. Obviously, if a child is still in a mothers womb, he or she cannot speak so the
people must speak for them. Therefore, abortion on demand should be illegal. While abortion provides financial and social solutions for a mother, it is clearly detrimental to the unborn child.
