it is perhaps assumed that women are more romantic then men and that men do not really care about romance. However, from another perspective it could be that women want
romance more than men, but that they are not necessarily individuals who exhibit strong romantic tendencies for they only want to receive romance. Men, on the other hand may know
this and as a result they are more romantic than women for they perhaps understand that women want romance. The following paper examines various articles or essays about romance and
men and women, and ultimately argues that men are more romantic than women because women want the romance, they do not necessarily engage in romantic actions for the men.
Who is More Romantic: Men or Women? If a person was to ask most women they would likely claim that men are not romantic most of the time and
that they, as women, are romantic. In a humorous look at the romantic needs of women, one woman talks about her travels in Europe and how the men there are
so much more romantic than American men. She states, "European men know the most romantic little caf?s and bistros and trattorias, candlelit places where you can be alone and drink
the most fantastic wine" (Lerner, 2007). While she is not necessarily taking into account the fact they may be merely luring her with such actions, the foundations of her statement
