a Divine Father (Scott, 2000). He was like no other person who ever came into the world (Scott, 2000). Taking on human form, Jesus became vulnerable to the same pain
other persons feel (Scott, 2000). Consider the many human traits Jesus demonstrated: He was tempted by Satan (Matthew 4:1-11); He loved others (Mark 10:21; John 11:36); He showed compassion to
others (Matthew 9:26); He was amazed (Luke 7:9); and He even became angry (Matthew 21:12). He prayed, just as He taught others to do (Matthew 12:23). Jesus was even tempted
and tested by Satan himself (Hebrews 4:15). Just like every human. But, Jesus was also divine. Jesus spent His childhood in Nazareth learning carpentry from His early father, Joseph
(Scott, 2000). Very little is known about these early years but Jewish custom would have had Jesus working with His father (Scott, 2000). We do know that at age 12,
