Seven Wonders of the World, but they were not constructed by aliens. The nineties have witnessed a slew of films, documentaries and series that support the notion that aliens have
visited and attribute a great many accomplishments to these beings. It seems that if something defies an easy explanation, the phenomenon is put into an "unexplained" file and a
camp of believers have come to the conclusion that the only logical explanation for such mysteries is that aliens did it. This theory in fact has become integrated into the
thinking of the larger society. In fact, Daniszewski (1997) reports that when Los Angeles artist Lita Albuquerque embarked on a project involving the Egyptian pyramids there was a great
deal of controversy. She intended her work to be a meditation on humanity and the planet, and incorporates the Pyramids, which she considers to be "the place that maintains the
memory of who we are" (1997, p. 12E). Enmeshed in the controversy was Hawass, who had been noted for allegedly covering up evidence about the true celestial origins of
the Pyramids (1997). The most controversial aspect of her work was the fact that someone believed she was integrating a Star of David in the works, but it turned out
not to be the case (1997). In any event, this contemporary exploration into the art of the occult, inclusive of Pyramids, seems to stir up controversy. What is it about
