Outline Plan of the Historical Investigation The purpose of this paper is to analyze that question, to examine the literature for
the purpose of finding a definitive answer as to which of these great men could be considered the most successful. Space constraints, unfortunately, do not allow an exhaustive search.
Instead only four sources can be reviewed and a more extensive consideration conducted of only one of those sources. Sources will be located utilizing traditional library-based research techniques
supplemented by the capabilities of online databases such as Electric Library. Documents will be selected from those returned using such search terms as "Bolschevik Revolution", Lenin, and Trotsky.
