Essay / Research Paper Abstract
A 21 page paper discussing the spending habits of two female students at Northern Kentucky University. Tuition and books are only the beginning, as Ashley’s and Nicole’s spending records reveal. Both girls live on campus in the least expensive dorm room available, and each have the least expensive meal plan that the school will allow them to have. Neither believes herself to be irresponsible with her money, but Ashley spends far more over the course of two semesters than does Nicole. Amounts spent would not be so noteworthy if Ashley was eating better or was able to do more things than Nicole, but the fact is that Nicole is the better off of the two. The paper follows each through a typical day and provides tables revealing how much each spends each month. Ashley’s affinity for fast food and vending machine items costs more than the total of another semester’s tuition and books combined. Includes 2 tables. Bibliography lists 8 sources.

can attend and who cannot. A state school, it is one of the hundreds of schools across the country whose existence makes it possible for students to attend and
to attain degrees that would elude them were they dependent on the pricey private institutions. As is the case in every other aspect
of all stages of life, budget living can gain the most mileage possible from every dollar available for college. But one of the complaints of financial planners and credit
counselors across the country is that we are not taught money management or even how to weigh decision-making between options available to us. The purpose here is to review
precisely how students at Northern Kentucky University spend the money available to them. Assumptions There are many ways to spend money, of course,
