In writing on this subject, one might want to imagine a mundane day, but also one that is filled with fun and excitement. After all, one is creating his own day so the student might as well render it a positive experience. For example, in visualizing the day, one might add in a picture of checks coming in the mail and feeling happy at their receipt. They might imagine a phone call from a friend they had not heard from in some time. They might also imagine running into someone whom they have a crush on at the bus stop. In visualizing the day, these small changes that produce happiness or excitement can add opportunities for synchronicity. In effect, by visualizing these small things, and watching the changes manifest, one is co-creating his reality. Bob Doyle, who appears in the film The Secret, claims: "...people tend to spiral if they stub their toe getting out of bed. Their whole day goes like that. They have no clue that a simple shifting of their emotions can change their entire day - and life" (qtd. in Byrne, 2006, p.34). Conversely, if one imagines their day as something that will be wonderful, good things are more likely to occur. It may be explained either by the fact that one is simply thinking themselves into optimism, or that something more important is going on as claimed by the film.
