either intentionally or due to slipshod informing - has been quite apparent when it comes to the reporting of myriad controversial topics, not the least of which includes recent war
coverage. On any given day, one can peruse a handful of national publications to find a dozen different perspectives to the same story, a reality that exemplifies how far
too many journalists infuse their reporting with personal opinions, unreliable sources and compromised ethics. One example that illustrates the tremendous bias journalists put forth in their reporting is with the
prevalence of racial bias. The media have always held the precarious responsibility of being able to make or break their stories subjects; by their very printed or spoken word,
the media have been singularly accountable for a great many biases that exist toward minorities today. These sensationalistic reporters, who appear to take delight in skewing the facts to
publish a good story, have literally cast a shadow of disgrace upon many as a result of their racial bias. The hardship that media racial bias has caused the
ethnic population is immense and far-reaching; employment positions, personal relationships and political standing have all been adversely affected by racial bias portrayed in the media.
