The subject is one that can learn from other disciplines and is able to adapt and adjust as well as combine theories. Just as it can learn it can also
teach other subjects in areas were there are commonalities such as people and resource management, the need to campaign, the need for change and concerns for organisational structure considerations. Voluntary
youth and community workers often have many of these situations to deal with, as well as working with others and managing other voluntary workers they will have many divergent situations
to deal with from awkward clients to the way in which they will ensure their groups will continue with support of donors and other volunteers (Courtney, 2002). There are
many ways that the voluntary sector, such as youth and community workers can take many lessons from the commercial practices, and a short paper is not sufficient to mention all.
However, in choosing some we can look at a range of different lessons that can be transferred. To consider this is must be understood that there are very different
