The three components of change within the Lewin model are unfreeze; change; freeze. Unlock the change target; make the change; relock the change
target so that the change becomes a lasting one. Kurt Lewins change theory maintains that change is incremental and proceeds stepwise, and this
is an approach to organizational change that individuals appear to handle more effectively. A measured and thoughtful approach to this kind of change takes the form of managers forewarning
employees of the types of changes they can expect to see in upcoming weeks, months and years, preparing them for the changes that will be occurring in response to strategic
planning and assuring them they will have a role in achieving those changes. Lewins model has been criticized as being less relevant today
than when first described a half century ago (Cork, 2005), but closer inspection reveals it to be highly useful and adaptable even for todays business environment. The unfreeze-change-freeze progression
is an approach that allows individuals to become accustomed to the newest change before management introduces the next one. The negative aspect of
Lewins approach is that change is continual and provides little if any time for those working with it to come to believe it to be finished. The single most
