Airways, Malaysia Air and EasyJet all are the direct customer interface points at which individuals can find, book and pay for their flights with each airline. The purpose here is to assess these sites, review features of each and determine how successful each site is in meeting its apparent objectives. Aims and Objectives All of the sites are similar in that their overriding goal is to lead site visitors to book a flight through the individual airlines website. EasyJets site carries a "low price guarantee" emblem on each page, and the page returning flight search information states, "You wont find it cheaper - book now!" Judging from the fares returned, EasyJets claim appears to be quite true. A flight from London to Milan on EasyJet in the busy August travel season ranges from ?69.99 to ?152.99; on British Airways the same flight ranges between ?141 and ?288. Malaysia Airs site never returned a result. Instead, it instructs the user to "Please change class or dates selected," without guiding the user in which to change. Altering the chosen schedule to include a 30-day lead time in booking did not allow the user to escape the error message, but altering the destination did. London and Milan are listed as destination cities of all three airlines and the assessment was intended to compare the three airlines using the same origin and destination points. Perhaps Malaysia Air does not fly between London and Milan; changing the destination city from Milan to Kuala Lumpur returned search results and a flight.
