the information they need. One may want to compare and contrast the organization of a web site to organization as it relates to writing an essay. Web sites should be
organized in a similar fashion to an essay. Obviously, there are differences as an essay is not interactive and it is also static. Web sites may be altered and also
contain visual content and sometimes even audio. Essays are not the same but one may use the organization model of an essay and compare this to web site organization. Essays
must have beginnings, middles and ends. An essay has an introduction which explains its purpose. Similarly, a web site must begin with a title and the title or at least
the subject appears in the header of the browser. When a person clicks on a site, they know where they are because of this title, even if it only says
"Toms page." An essay is also titled. This is so in a sea of essays one can determine exactly what it is. The authors name is usually included on an
essay page and it is prudent to either have the authors name or at least attribute content to some author or someone who maintains a web site. Hence, at the
beginning or the end, the authors name on both an essay and web site, should be visible. Again, essays have "middles." This means that it contains information and may be
based either on opinion or fact. Similarly, the purpose of a web site is contained on the site and the meat of the essay is equivalent to this middle. The
