it for?" (Lennon & McCartney, 1966). The lyrics suggest that this woman is rather lonely but also implies that she does not let on that this is the case. She
"wears a face" and at the end of this sequence, it is asked just who that face is for. People do exemplify themselves in ways that are not realistic. At
the same time, people in their daily lives wear so many masks it is sometimes hard to tell who they are underneath. A students thesis is that high school basketball
players are "constantly switching masks." They have on their game faces and this includes the game face mask as well as the normal mask. It is not
abnormal for players to joke around with their friends and teammates , but as soon as the game begins it is war. The mentality of the players change as soon
as they step onto the court and then it is "war between the two teams" as they are both battling for a win. Finally, the student concludes: " Once
the game is over, the game face mask is lifted and its back to the normal mask." In many ways this appears to be a common situation. Additionally, such switching
behavior is seen in many different parts of public and private life. People become enraged at times and seem to be something other than themselves. Then, the can transform into
