Fluorine, is a gas and never occurs in its free state in nature. Fluorine exists only in combination with other elements such as a fluoride compound. In your
study of this pale yellow gas you will find those who state that it is a poisonous substance, possible even a carcinogen. Yet that information is balanced against the
fact that it does not exist on its own; if it is easier to think of it in something that is more familiar. Pick the fluid of your choice.
