some of the original text. As such it serves as a very powerful "primal village" story that tells of a culture, a tribe. The following paper examines this story as
it relates to the warrior and the primal village. Warrior in the Primal Village: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight . The story of Sir Gawain and the Green
Knight is actually a story that involves the legendary King Arthur as well. But, it is not King Arthur who is the primary focus of the story and as such
Sir Gawain is present as the warrior of the primal village setting. If the story were about King Arthur, especially considering that he is in the beginning of the story,
it would be a story about the chief, not the warrior. In this story Sir Gawain takes it upon himself to take the challenge of the Green Knight rather
than allow King Arthur to do this. He journeys to the Green Knight and encounters many adventures on the way. When he ultimately meets with a man and his wife,
wealthy and in ownership of a grand palace it would seem, he settles down as the date for his battle with the Green Knight nears. He does not know, however,
