The war photography is able to take the viewer to a place he or she would not want to be, but would like to know about. For some
the realities of war are too harsh. The photographs are too real, with too many memories. The war photographer must face danger
to bring to the rest of the world a sense of what is going on in such places as Vietnam, Grenada, and Iraq. Oftentimes the war photographer is able
to get right into the center of the action and bring back with him or her a view that the rest of the world would never have been able to
see otherwise. Photographs of war have changed the views of the American public. Those photographs have shown real people in real situations in an effort to immortalize them.
It has been said that photographs are the windows of the soul. The war photographer brings to view the souls of the victims of war.
War is not a pretty picture. There is pain, fear, and horror in photographs of war. There is also honor and bravery. War photographs are powerful
images. The war photographer is able to allow the public to see the war as it was seen through his/her eyes. He/she is able to bring the soldiers plight
