in WWI. WWII saw new alliances, alliances destroyed, and ultimately the beginning of the Cold War between the United States and Russia. It was a war that saw internment camps
in the United States and concentration camps in Germany and Europe. It was a war that saw ultimate destruction in the dropping of the nuclear bomb, and a war that
would forever change how people engaged in war and how people looked at war. The following paper provides a brief overview of WWII, discussing its causes, events and legacies.
WWII: Overview As previously indicated, many individuals argue that WWII was really a continuation of WWI. This is argued because there were many loose ends, many alliances and agreements
that were not really solidified or they changed greatly over a short period of time. One of those loose ends involved the country of Germany and its determination to further
itself, ultimately through the leadership of Hitler. Germany was suffering and continued to suffer and with the arrival of the power of Hitler Germany had some hopes of gaining more
solid foundations for jobs and simple survival. When looking at WWII as a war unto itself there are many factors which played
into the beginning of the war. One of the most important events, according to many historians, was the Great Depression. While many people believe it was really only a depression
