Stress-related physical injuries in the workplace setting can be the cause of lost workhours and recurring absenteeism. In the nursing professional, consistency and continuity in care can be an
important part of any nursing care model, but absenteeism due to injuries can have a negative impact. Further, work related back injuries, which can occur as a result of
stressful work environments or incorrect ergonomic efforts in nursing, can result in recurrences of lost work time and reductions in the effectiveness of nursing teams. This proposal is designed
to consider the issue of workplace injuries, especially as it relates to accidental or stress-related injuries in nursing. This proposal calls for the application of certain nursing paradigms, assessments
of a holistic approach to team management, and the integration of efforts to improve the overall function of nursing teams to reduce internal stressors that can cause injuries. Specifically, this
