Multicultural Perspectives, states that We are all Related. In this section, Eagle Man suggests that all life, and all cultures, are related to one another; that mankinds ignorance will cause
his ultimate demise unless he accepts that he is of the world and in the world, and not above it. This idea is evident in
the movie, The Lord of the Rings, as well. Throughout the movie there are references to being a part of the Earth. What the hobbits and other creatures seem to
know, the Auks and the people of Mordor do not. This is a classic struggle between those who would exploit nature and abuse it, and those who would work in
conjunction with nature to secure a more promising future. At one point in the movie, two hobbits find themselves amongst the trees. These are not
just any trees, but the ancient living trees. The hobbits begin to relay their troubles and the trees are reluctant to take part in the wars of mankind. After all,
they argue, man comes and chops, burns, uproots. Why should they care about the plight of man? This reflects the ongoing problems of the Earth,
and the ongoing systemic problems with man relating to his fellow man, offers Eagle Man. Failure to recognize that all is related and connected in a life force which charges
