perceived extremes is veganism. While vegetarianism is something that has been around for quite some time veganism is something that is perhaps far more recent in an approach to do
no harm in seeking out ones own existence. The following paper examines veganism. What is Veganism? "Veganism may be defined as a way of living which seeks to
exclude, as far as possible and practical, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, the animal kingdom for food, clothing, or any other purpose" (Veganism.com, 2009). In relationship to
what a vegan will eat, they exclude all animal produce which will include fish, flesh of any kind, eggs, birds, animal milks that are not from humans, and any other
product that comes from animals (Veganism.com, 2009). Apparently "the taking of honey being left to individual conscience" (Veganism.com, 2009). In demonstrating its difference from vegetarianism a vegetarian will eat eggs
in many cases. They will also eat cheese as long as it has no rennet or other animal products that are the result of the death of an animal. They
will drink milk and otherwise ingest the byproducts of animals that have not gone into the killing of an animal. While some people believe that a vegetarian will also eat
chicken and fish, because they are not mammals, a true vegetarian eats no flesh of any kind. "Vegans, in addition to being vegetarian, do not use other animal products and
by-products such as eggs, dairy products, honey, leather, fur, silk, wool, cosmetics, and soaps derived from animal products" (The Vegetarian Resource Group, 2003). In looking at what comprises veganism
