Our values, beliefs, and ethics underpin the way that we regard our world, we use them to forge our philosophical outlooks. These
can, of course, be either good or bad and in many instances vary not just according factors such as cultural and societal expectations but to individual.
Belief can be defined as your mental acceptance of a thing, person, idea, or construct. Some beliefs are held dearer by us than are others.
Foundation beliefs are those beliefs that we can immediately consider justified. They are those beliefs we reap in a sense of certainty and that certainty justifies our use of
our application of them to varied aspects of our lives (Dominico, 2007). The foundations of knowledge are unquestionable and indubitable, at least according to foundationalisms proponents (Bonjour, 1999).
Foundational knowledge serves as the immovable and irrefutable cornerstones from which logical deductions can be formulated. Foundationalism, however, by its very nature requires a rational approach to understanding.
This presents the opportunity for questioning that which is purported to be unquestionable. Religion is one of those unquestionables. It
is a matter of faith. Our religion encompasses beliefs that cannot be demonstrated on an empirical basis. Never-the-less, we internalize these beliefs into our thinking processes. Verbalization
