who choice to eat no animal flesh because their particular morals dont allow it. Some vegetarians argue that animals deserve our moral consideration just as other people deserve our moral
consideration. If we follow this to the logical train of thought, wed suggest that, in this scenario, we wouldnt eat our fellow human beings. So why eat animals?
From a moral perspective, there is more to not eating animal flesh than the idea that its somehow akin to eating human flesh. Some religions
ban meat-eating altogether (such as Hindus, which wont eat cow flesh and Seventh Day Adventists), not because they believe eating animal flesh is wrong or repugnant, but because they believe
that taking any kind of life is wrong (Foster, 2010). These particular religions believe that slaughtering animals for food is murder, no matter how humane it might be done (Foster,
2010). These groups take the fifth commandment of the 10 Commandments - no killing - quite seriously, believing that killing animals for their meat isnt any different than murdering a
human being for whatever their reasons. Is this stance logical or are the Seventh Day Adventists and Hindus taking this command to
abstain from killing a little far? These religious groups arent necessarily taking the directive not to kill too far, rather, theyre interpreting Gods creation as literal, and as mankind is
at the top of that chain, mankind is also responsible for the protection of the beasts, fish and other animals. From this religious perspective, killing these animals for sport or
