one of three divisions in the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, the other two being the Highland Dive Division and the H. John Heinz III VA Progressive Care Center. The
organization provided care for veterans from 48 states as well as Guam and Porto Rico in 2008 with the provision of medical, surgical and neurological care (VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System,
2009). The organization also plays an important role as it is the home for the national independent liver and renal transplant center, in addition to this is also acts
