This paper is the writers own opinion on these paragraphs as well as how and why Thomas Mores well-known publication gives the reader the lasting effect that it does.
MORES UTOPIA The book that Thomas More wrote in 1515 was his interpretation of the ideal society. Much like that of Platos Republic, More felt that social standing
and economics were two things the world would be well to do without. In all things the world should be equal. Mores book describes how he "foresaw cities
of 100,000 inhabitants as being ideal. In his Utopia, there was no money, just a monthly market where citizens bartered for what they needed. Persons engaged to each other were
allowed to see each other naked before marriage so that they would know if the other was deformed" (Langdell PG). While the entire book is one of great interest, one
can read the last two paragraphs and form an opinion as to how Mores writing affects the reader emotionally. Some have called the book depressing, logical, realistic, or any
of a myriad other descriptions. So many people have differing opinions on the book that it is of great interest to see how the book affects some people and
why it has that affect. In this paper we will consider the last two paragraphs of Mores work giving an opinion on the affect it leaves with us.
As we read the last two paragraphs of Utopia we are struck by the fantasy of it all. Perhaps it is the very last sentence that best sums
