Hick outlined the many benefits of using interactive multimedia, some of which are presented here: * Improves Learning. Hick stated there are numerous studies and meta-analyses that have
shown "interactive multimedia learning takes less time, is enjoyed more and increases learning" (Hick, 1997). He cites Najjars study that concluded "learning was higher when information was presented via computer-based
multimedia systems than traditional classroom lectures" (Hick, 1997). * Practical. Interactive multimedia is practical in that it can present true-to-life situations, which helps learners learn (Hick, 1997). As Hick said:
"Decision tree simulation, video simulations or simple animations allow learners to learn-by-viewing, learn-by-doing" (Hick, 1997). These are all very practical for the student. * Timely. This kind of learning is
very timely. For instance, a worker can review computer programs that are interactive when faced with new situations (Hick, 1997). * Consistent. All learners are exposed to the very same
