For the most part all urban projects are created to improve the community or the region, the city or the nation, in many different ways. They are implemented to help an economy, the social conditions of a region, the individuals, large businesses, and in some cases the entire world. With an understanding of the diversity involves in urban developments the following paper examines two different urban developments in Europe. The urban developments examined are those that have evolved in Lyon, France and G?teborg, Sweden. Lyon, France In first examining the urban development within Lyon, France the paper presents the illustration of one author who notes that "Lyon has confirmed its European ambitions through large-scale urban development projects that will make the metropolitan area even more attractive in coming years" (Urban Development Projects, 2006). In this statement it is noted that the region is proving incredibly enticing to many different types of businesses and constructions, not the least of which is that of Salle 3000 which is an amphitheater that will house 3000 people (Urban Development Projects, 2006). A central part of the developments in Lyon involve the Cit?
