to look and see what the goals of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank are. Afro-Latin Americans are those people from Latin America who have sub-Saharan ancestry
("Afro-Latin American," 2007). The World Bank is an important source as it respects technical and financial assistance to third world nations ("About Us," 2007). The World Bank is made
up of two institutions that are actually owned by member countries ("About Us," 2007). There are 185 members ("About Us," 2007). The two institutions are the International Development Association (IDA)
and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) ("About Us," 2007). Each one plays a different part but is overall supportive in a mission in respect to global poverty
reduction and increases in living standards ("About Us," 2007). The IBRD for example helps creditworthy poor countries as well as those with middle incomes ("About Us," 2007). IDA helps the
