interface. The truth is, however, UI is important in almost all products that cross our paths. For those who are unable to get around well on their legs, usability design
of a wheelchair is an especially important concept. This paper will present an outline of how the student could conceivably approach developing
such a product. Before beginning, however, we need to point out that this is only an example of how the student can approach a UI paper. He/she should incorporate what
is in the paper and use it for the product of his/her choice. Description/usage of the product The new wheelchair we propose
to design would, of course, be a viable pair of legs for those who simply cant make it around on their own two legs, for whatever their reason, or however
old they are. Thanks to technology, there are wheelchairs out there today in all shapes and sizes, and weights -- and
are very user-friendly in terms of comfort and getting around (Field, 2003). According to much of the literature, however, the main problem with wheelchairs is that theyre ugly (Field, 2003).
While this is not an issue for most of us who use our two legs to get around, for those who are dependent on wheelchairs for mobility, this separates them
even further, from those who are bi-pedal. Field, for example, notes that "an able-bodied person is able to communicate something about their personality to the world," but when a disabled
