gains from having the company located in this city. United Parcel Service of America, Inc., with 330,000 employees and last years annual sales
totaling $22,458,000,000, is the worlds largest package delivery company. UPS delivers to every address in the continental United States as well as to 200 other countries. It offers several types
of delivery services from regular ground deliver to overnight air delivery to consignee billing. The company offers logistics services through UPS Logistics Group. Most of the company is owned by
employees and their families. Management, for the most part, is promoted from within the company. Most managers have been with the company for many years (Hoover, 1998).
Like most air carriers, UPS has several hubs located in strategic sites within the United States. One of their hubs is in Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville has
gained considerably from having UPS locate its hub operations in that city. For one thing, UPS contributes generously to a variety of causes, most of which focus on education and
health and welfare benefits. It has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to relief funds for tornado victims in Kentucky. In an effort to support President Clintons plan of putting
