Society and the individuals who make up the United States society are different today, perhaps more educated and more sophisticated, but the rights of the individuals and the functions of our government have continued to be instrumental in the progress and stability of the United States. U.S. Constitution: Fundamental Human Principles and Basics of Democratic Government Although there are differences in the fundamental thinking of each individual, they remain basically the same. A person may be a creationist, or an evolutionist they all remain physiologically the same as they have been since the Constitution was first written. The world is definitely more technologically advanced and in many ways more culturally advanced, yet the principles of the Constitution have stood the test of time. The Constitution does not deal with auto repair, airplane mechanics or computers, but it deals with fundamental human principles and the basics of our democratic government - the general aspects of the evolution of a democratic government and its people through the years. People continue to interact with one another. Congressmen continue to debate one another and to sponsor legislation. There continue to be issues of international diplomacy and internal issues of social unrest and social justice. The U.S. Constitution is a document that does not deal with the limitations of specifics, but deals in terms of principles, the abstract, and general ideas and cases. The U.S. Constitution deals with issues like justice, freedom, and civil rights. People of today are the same as the people of the past and the issues of democracy remain the same.
