in Jesus as the Son of God. But, within the world of Christians, history, and scholarly exploration there are many individuals who analyze the Bible from many perspectives in further
uncovering new information and ultimate truths, no matter their faith. There are those who believe that he was a very good man, a simple prophet and nothing else. There are
also those who believe that he was the Son of God and through Biblical and scholarly study one can understand the man better. The following paper examines two different
articles that examine, and analyze, the Bible and Jesus in different ways, although they are both articles that discuss Jesus as the Son of God. Two Views of
the New Testament and Jesus Christ The student requests that one of the articles demonstrate the analytical skills presented by Stevan L. Davies.
The article chosen is written by one who is arguing against what Davies argues, and thus takes the same approach to analyzing Jesus and the Bible. The author notes, "Davies
offers a naturalized Jesuses assembled via the standard method of selective use of sources and molding evidence to fit a preconceived thesis" (Tekton, 2009). Looking at Jesus from a natural
perspective is not the error, in this authors view, but rather approaching the subject of naturalizing Jesus from a preconceived notion. In approaching Davies perspectives from this way the author
is analytical but also perhaps more deeply analytical. The other article simply sets out to discuss, from a Christian perspective, Jesus existence as
a prophet, or not. In this article the author simply assumes that everything in the Bible indicates that Jesus was the Son of God and not simply a prophet.
