that poor relationships do not have good foundations that leads them to, more often than not, crumble under strain. However, in many cases the worst of relationships seem to actually
thrive on such struggle, making it one of the only things that keeps the relationship alive. With such simplistic perspectives at hand the following paper examines two relationships, one good
and one bad, illustrating what makes them work and what makes them fail, or succeed through failure. The paper discusses a good relationship, then a bad, and then examines two
couples from Henrik Ibsens classic play "A Dolls House." A Good Successful Relationship Perhaps one of the most important aspects of a relationship, or a successful relationship, is that
which involves trust, and not only trust of another individual but trust of yourself as well. One author notes, "The line between self-love and love of another must be crossed
for a long-lasting relationship built on mutual trust. That first step must be honest self assessment and doing whatever you can to be honest about yourself" ( People need to
