Essay / Research Paper Abstract
A 3 page paper that addresses two issues. What would a science teacher say to a student who things biological evolution is nothing more than a theory without support and to another student who thinks human lungs will adapt to filter out toxic pollutants so we don't need to worry about air pollution. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

refers to "change beneath the species level [and] may be thought of as relatively small scale change in the functional and genetic constituencies of populations of organisms." Macroevolution, on the
other hand, has to do with big changes or "evolution on the grand scale (Theobald, 2006). The result is "the origin of higher taxa" (Theobald, 2006). It is the transformation
of a species, among other things (Theobald, 2006). A caution is made here - it is not about the origin of life but it is about one species actually transforming
into a new species, also called the common descent theory (Theobald, 2006). This is supported so strongly in the scientific community that biologists often refer to it as the "fact
of evolution" (Theobald, 2006). The common descent theory is one that is founded on the premise that "all living terrestrial organisms are genealogically related" (Theobald, 2006). This theory has also
shown that genetic changes in species offer naturally between each generation (Theobald, 2006). But, there is also another fact and that is that changes may occur quickly, which is referred
to as morphological change - it is quick in geological terms (Theobald, 2006). These theories have been repeatedly confirmed by empirical evidence (Theobald, 2006). And, while we can always choose
to question data, it is a fruitless activity when the evidence is as overwhelming as it is with these theories. Heres what this scientist reports: The worldwide scientific research community
from over the past 140 years has discovered that no known hypothesis other than universal common descent can account scientifically for the unity, diversity, and patterns of terrestrial life (Theobald,
2006). In other words, biological evolution of all species is a scientific fact. It is na?ve and frivolously argumentative to deny or reject it. "The human species will develop
