talent and in life. He was also a symbol of perhaps all that was wrong with the industry of rap music as well. In the end he was killed and
mysteries still surround the unsolved case. "Much of what happened on this night remains a mystery to this very day" (Tupac Amaru Shakur, 2005). The following paper examines his life
and focuses on two times when he was beaten up by policemen, arguing that he was not convicted of the crimes and thus was innocent, thus illustrating and supporting his
arguments that police were often the harbingers of racism. Tupac Shakur Tupac was a boy and young man who lived in poverty for much of his life, all
but homeless at times, and struggling with an intelligent mind but a lack of opportunities or knowledge of where to take his intelligence and ambition. It was in 1991 that
he was able to put out an album titled All Eyez On Me. "Although produced with the help of his Digital Underground crew, the intent of the album was to
showcase his individual talent" (Wikipedia, 2005). His songs were primarily songs about the struggles of African American people, songs that examined single motherhood and racism and life in the ghetto
(Wikipedia, 2005). The album gained him a great deal of success through word-of-mouth and he was able to rise to the top 30 of the R&B charts (Wikipedia,
2005). Tupac had claimed that this particular album was really aimed at illustrating the problems that face young black men. But, at the same time it was apparently an album
