technology. Transformers The premise, or the plot, of this story involves Sam Witwicky, a young man, who has inadvertently been chosen by a car/transformer called Bumblebee. Through this
relationship he learns about the evil transformers, the Decepticons, who are looking for a special cube which would ultimately allow them to take over the world and destroy humanity. The
good transformers, the Autobots, are helping Witwicky find the cube and save humans before their fate becomes like that of the transformers on their planet that is no longer in
existence. It is a story that speaks of the bad possibilities of the evolution of technology, as well as the good. The main characters are Sam Witwicky, his grandfather
Archibald Witwicky who was the one to have originally discovered this particular cube and activated the evil. There is Bumblebee, a transformer who diguises himself as Sams car, and also
protects Sam. There is the good transformer Optimus Prime, and the ultimate bad Decepticon, Megatron. Through the humans, soldiers and common people alike, and the Autobots the battle is won,
with Sam putting the Cube inside Megatron and putting an end to the Decepticons and evil. The Autobots, because they have no home to return to, remain on Earth protecting,
hiding, and living amongst the humans. The society in the film is very much like the society people live in today. There is the military, and they are involved
in global problems, but they are not aware of such technology as is evidenced when they encounter the Decepticons. The humans live as people do today, and they have absolutely
