The training addresses all aspects of those portions of operations directly using the companys physical infrastructure, which includes items such as track, structures, signaling systems, on-board electrical service, telecommunications systems and other items of interest to those depending on their proper and efficient operation. Infrastructure and Stakeholders Iarnr?d ?ireanns infrastructure, of course, consists of those material items or real estate that the company uses in the course of delivering the services that customers expect and seek from Iarnr?d ?ireann. Included in this wide category of goods and services are track, structures, signaling systems, telecommunication systems, power supplies, rail welding depot and maintenance facilities. Each will be discussed below. As has been stated elsewhere, Iarnr?d ?ireanns objective in investing heavily in training has been and remains that of improving the companys competence to operate a safe rail system. "Safe" is a relative term, and one that can be expanded well beyond the primary definition of operating the rail system with no overt mishaps.
