diversity of the corporation leads to a lack of corporate supervision over franchisees. As a result, many franchise owners and/or their managers have become sloppy resulting in a rash of
complaints about food quality, store cleanliness and customer service. Indeed, these owners are violating the standards set forth by Ray Kroc the founder and that are still promoted by existing
corporate level officials. A comprehensive needs analysis revealed that complaints are not exclusive to one geographic region or another. The same complaints about McDonalds have been echoed across the
world. The participants in this training program are the managers and associates of all franchised locations. The first group of trainees will be franchise owners and store managers. Store
associates, i.e., other employees, will then be trained to provide excellent service to the customer. The purpose of the training program is to teach franchisees the corporate standards for quality,
efficiency, cleanliness, and customer service practices. The competitive environment in the fast-food industry is fierce and McDonalds cannot afford not to improve. 2. Effectiveness of Training Program The objectives
for the training program were to have all franchised stores provide excellent customer service, have a spotless restaurant, and for employees to take pride in their work and serve according
to the corporate values. Service to customers will be given quickly and respectfully. This inherently means the owners, managers and employees must be knowledgeable of their own job duties and
of corporate expectations. All employees will also know that any type of rudeness or discourtesy shown to customers will not be tolerated. Furthermore, changes in hiring practices will change and
